Seems like they were going for the black mage look of CAST...

I don't get that vibe... I mean yeah, they made his armor shaped like a cloak with a hood, but still. Definitely not getting "Black Mage" from it at all.

Also, I was planning on using the HUmar clothes, but after seeing that HUnewm..... I think I might've just changed my mind...

Maybe if you're thinking classic FF black mage... but dark magic using magician in general this is how I'd describe it. :0

Nothing. I just found it odd you put it in past tense. The design isn't finished for their models, otherwise we'd already have those lovely screenies for them in-game instead of the RAcast lookalikes in their place lol. But you speak of their design in general, so I'll give that a pass.

I don't see why they'd release it clear as day as official art to the public in the famitsu magazine if it wasn't final. and it doesn't have to be the final design for it to be properly placed in the past tense. D<

I played FF enough to call magicians "mage," But not enough to only think of vivi, or the classic black mage, when I think of black magicians, who I call black mages.

Because to me they are the same thing, because mage is short for magician to me, so I call them black mages. ]:

On topic: It seems the HUnewm design seems to be a slight throwback to PSZ's HUnewm. Just a thought.

I'd keep tabs on the new PSO2 Facebook for hints and cryptic clues and stuff. Whoever runs it seems to reply frequently even if they don't give away much just yet. While it is presented and aimed at the Japanese, there is a chance English messages might get replies or posted if what they say is anything to go by.


Although since the link got out it has taken no time at all for it to become flooded with English "WILL COME TO USA???" and "consolesplz!" request messages..
