You're lucky that your save game didn't get corrupted. Mine got corrupted twice due to the game randomly freezing.

1) Being stunned and watch your character die.
2) When you max out your inventory space and a rare drops.
3) Wasting all your restoratives/healing items in the middle of a boss fight.

Getting OS after 20 minutes fighting a boss.
DC'ing JUST as you withdraw your Hyakka's from your shared storage, coming back into the game, and finding they vanished OH HEEEELL NAW...
Luckily my back-up save was only 5 days old!

Getting DCed between Dark Falz/Final transition on the 4th system.
Gaining your blast and dying just as you were gonna use it, thus resetting the gauge.
...Thus causing me to launch my psp across my room.
