    Stuffs!

First: This request was one big meme during the entire year of art class. I mean, look at how edgy this furry is!? So I sorta HAD to do this one before the end of the classes

Then another Mortal Kombat OC (yeah I have tons of them on my list). To bad I had to put a character in that background

AAAAAND of course a video of my progress for my 3D and game making adventures. This month my focus was on making hard surface props in ZBrush. For those of you who don't know, ZBrush is normaly used for sculpting, which is great for soft surface, but hard surface is a bit harder, though I still managed to create some simple stuff. The assets are in the cave part of the video. Even made a PSO1 saber and Heavens Punisher. Besides that I was working on landscapes and made some basic movement (moving, running, camera, jump, double jump and dash). I don't have any character yet, so the white guy in the video is just some default figure that comes with the engine.

Cool stuff! I wish I have some motivation to learn 3d, I have a hard time animating all those machines in my game frame by frame.

Well, 2D animation has its charm imo. Especially for anything side scrolling, I'd pick 2D. 3D is only more efficient when you have a ton of assets lying around and have to do lots of animations. From scratch making an assets looks like this:
    1. Create low poly model (zbrush or maya)
    2. Create high poly model (zbrush)
    3. Fix topology/normals of low poly model (maya)
    4. UV unwrap model (maya)
    5. Bake normal/ AO maps (xnormal/DDO/NDO or Substance Painter)
    6. Create textures (substance painter or Photoshop)
    7. Import in UE4, create materials (shaders) + optimizing for performance.

    additional steps for characters:
    8. Rigging (maya) (oh god!)
    9. Creating animations
    10. Import in UE4
    11. Setup rig/physics
    12. Create logic for blending animation and binding them to events/triggers

so yeah, one asset takes quite some time to make. It's actually quite easy to learn all these steps. If you can draw, you will get to a decent level in no time. To master all of this is quite hard, but being decent is enough to make games as you can see.

you could start by simply downloading UE4, get some free content packs from Epic and follow some tutorials. Once you get into it and see your first rock come to live, you will automatically get motivated.

Sounds like a lot of work, but if you say it's easy, then it should.

As for me, I'm not looking for detailed or realistic 3D models, just polygons based models are fine, since I use them as base for my drawings.

Idea for a jam: draw the same thing. You give a picture or a description, and all the artists have to draw that one thing. You get to chose how much freedom each artist has.

Maybe I can let people draw some of my requests that I will never get to.

Anyway, very late PSA-JAM! because I forgot as usual!

This request is beyond words to describe its dumbness, so I just had to do it

oh, you asking for it? Here is the request:
    Can you draw this?
    My OCs:
    Heroes:
    Nova
    Comet
    Captain Klash
    Villains:
    Scar
    Elemental
    Virus
    Nova vs Scar:
Nova leaps at Scar, with them locking swords together.
    Captain Klash vs Elemental:
Klash uses his mace and charges while screaming, towards Elemental, whom raises his wood arm against him and uses Electricity.
    Comet vs Virus:
Comet uses his mallet and skates (his boots extend skates) towards Virus, who has his blaster arm aimed at him, preparing to fire.
Nova is shorter than Scar and comes up to his chest.
Klash is very large and is only shorter than Elemental and Virus, he comes up to their stomachs.
Comet is very short (the shortest in fact) and comes up to the center of Virus' diamond shaped leg lights.
I would like the background in this to be a canyon at sunset.
I want the picture to focus mostly on Nova's fight with Scar (their rivalry is the main one), but not too much.
Elemental must be the most genius piece of character design I have encountered
