    Default PSO2 info from my friend in Japan

    Like everyone I cannot wait for the release of PSO2, but, in the meantime my friend who was accepted as a tester in Japan sent me some info, if we have it well sorry, if not it's some more goodies!

    Phantasy Star Portal [JP] with High Quality Trailer here: http://phantasystar.sega.jp/psportal/pso2/
    Some people talking in Japanese about PSO2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tgo8...player_embedded
    Info here: http://www.segabits.com/?p=4330
    Platform: Windows PC only (for now)
    Release date: TBA 2011
    * Minimum Requirements
    o Windows XP 32bit Japanese Language
    o Windows Vista / 7 32bit or 64bit Japanese Language
    o Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 or higher
    o RAM: Windows XP 1.5GB or higher
    o RAM: Windows Vista / 7 2GB or higher
    o HDD: 8GB or higher
    o Resolution: 1280×720 or higher
    o NVIDIA GeForce 7800GT or similar graphics card or higher
    o DirectX 9.0c or higher
    o Broadband connection
    Because there’s no Windows 7 in the minimum requirements, this was clearly aimed for older PCs, so I’m willing to bet on 2, probably a bit of 1, 3 is undetermined
    Those specs pretty much confirm console ports, These requirements are a little bit higher than Mass Effect 2 minimum requirements. Yup, console port will happen.

    Copy-pasting my translation of the text from the teaser that I just posted at PSUPedia. Thanks to Shougai PSO for giving a list that's legible!

    http://www.g-heaven.net/topics/2010/09/100917c.html

    From Shougai PSO, here's a list of all of the text scrolling across the background in the trailer. First, phrases that relate to the game's new components:
    * "Action" and "RPG" re-connected
    * Increased variety of client orders
    * Map functions changing in real time
    * User-created story
    * New interface for environmental interactions
    * Global support
    * Thorough racial balances
    * Full-user participation events
    * Seasonal changes
    * New chat system
    * New mail functions
    * Drastic item synthesis overhaul
    * Even wider variety of ways to raise your character
    * New direction of event scenes
    * Approach from NPCs (New approach maybe?)
    * Silhouette changes by add-ons (Not too sure what they mean here.)
    * New photon arts (This was partially obscured in the video, so may not be 100% accurate.)
    * Community support content (Again, slightly obscured in the video.)
    * Additional customizations when you create your character
    * Category-based weapon training system (Slightly obscured.)
    * Implementation of asynchronous communication
    * New party system
    * Consideration of enemy cooperation
    * Limitless content
    * New approach to the game client
    * Implementation of a new "life work" (Partially obscured.)
    * Daily surprises
    * "Trump card" system
    * Mutual interaction functionality for new and veteran users

    And now for words and phrases that give hints at the world of the game:
    * Awakening
    * Sealed stone monument
    * Pure Dark Falz (Partially obscured.)
    * Apostles of _____ (Partially obscured.)
    * Camp ship
    * Arkz
    * Why is darkness born?
    * Why is the Great Light no longer here?
    * A world in ruin

    ...lol

    Yeah, most of us have been getting information literally about the same time he has.

    In fact, unless it's something from a private Email, i doubt we havent seen it. And even so, we probably would get ahold of it mighty fast.

    I just hope that SEGA understands this.

    Ok first of all old info and how the hell does he know it's going to be console port? We already know all of this and this is PC ONLY.

    Yeah, not threading any other threads is fine I guess.

    @Corey: Basically, the specs apparently indicate a console port being possible. And, apparently, if something is possible, it will definitely happen.

    Other than that, this is... All old, boring news.

    Possible, feasible and probable are different words for a reason. Don't talk out of your ass, all it's gonna do is start a fight.
