ah, I was thinking the PS2 version of EverQuest (2003) my bad didn't know the main game was out before that. Huh I thought it had a different acronym back then I guess not but reading the wiki it seems PSO or any game after it has been an MMO then, Explains why all the Magazine's ..etc where calling it one. Having almost 50,000 player's on, almost 25,000 on at one time and 12 player's playing at the same time for PSO2 counts as a MMO.

Not to mention, I don't believe Sega has stated anywhere that they consider any of the Phantasy Star gamesto be MMOs. "Network RPG" is the name used extensively in the manual for PSO, and "Online Action RPG" is their descriptor for PSU.

Kent - True they never really use it but it still follows mostly the same pattern as a MMO tho, lol you could say it's a MPO ( Multi-Player Online ). or a Fun spin on it a full description could be a ( MP RAA MPO RPG ) lol I know a mouth full; It means - Multi-Platforming, Realtime Action Adventure, Multi-Player Online, Role-Playing Game. Even tho that's not a real acronym, it's catchy
