Matter Board Discussion

Okay, so I've done the quests in the forest up through the rappy quest. I've also completed the first three "Matters" on the matter board, but now I'm stuck. Is there a guide somewhere that tells you what the matters are so that I can progress the story? Or do I even need to do the matters to progress in the game?

Basically, I want to fight the dragon and I want to know how to get there.

well, good luck on it. basically unlike alpha-test, you can't just clear old mission to unlock new missions anymore. you need to do a lot of stuffs lol..




At big Loaf, if you didn't have bug, then you should see Shion NPC at the market area.

What does it do? Is it like a synth board from PSU? Is it a story item? How do you "fill up" the slots? What's the significance of the yellow slots?

Need it for the story. It gives you a missions to do to progress story. Fill up the slots by doing the mission it states. Idk about yellow slots.

To advance the story you need to complete various matters. Each matter in its description will have a Letter and Number combination. For example, in this screenshot B-2 is listed.
B-1 Find a gunslayer drop from an Udan (Any Forest Mission)
B-2 Play the mission “ザウーダン討伐” and find a tablet item to see a cutscene.
B-3 Go to the Shop Lobby and find Zeno, he will assign a client order you must complete. Afterwards go to the quest counter and complete the mission “フォンガルフ討伐”. When you are done go back to Zeno and select the client order again and report the information to him. You should see a client order clear appear on the screen once you are finished.
B-4 Find a “タグバルブ Tag Valve drop from the enemy “Nab Rappy” (Any Forest Mission)
A-3 Find a ワイヤードオーバー WiredOver drop from the enemy “Udan” (Any Forest Mission)
A-4 Go talk to ウルク Uruk, you can find her downstairs in the shopping lobby opposite of Zeno.
A-5 Find a “クレイモア” Claymore drop from the enemy Fongalf (Any Forest Mission)
C-4 Go talk to ジャン Jean, you can find him in the shopping lobby downstairs.
D-4 Find a “レッグ／デステレンα” from the Dagan enemy. (Any Mission.)
E-4 Find a “アーム／ティタスティンα” unit from the Galf enemy (Any Forest mission)
E-3 Talk to “レダ” Reda, she’s somewhere on the Arks Lobby.

Did you actually select B-2 on the matter board to initiate the quest?

You're forced to select it when you complete B-1

I've done the map countless times, I'm even getting the same cutscenes repeated but nothing is changing.

Did the matter board open itself the first time you used it? or did you open it yourself? apparently there is a bug with it if you open it before it opens itself.
