Player's Site, Patch, Server Names

The new Player's Site (looking very much like PSU's) and the Pre-open beta patch is up. Start up your client and you'll get the a patch for the launcher. Press the third button from the top on the right to start downloading the client patch. If you don't have the PSO2 client yet, you can get it via offical downloader, found here by clicking on the box with the HUnewearl and HUmar.

Additionally, the ship names for the pre-open beta were also announced. There will be five ships and they share names with some Zero Mags. They are actually the names of runes, as Shadow Dragon28 has pointed out.

• Ship 1: Feoh
• Ship 2: Ur
• Ship 3: Thorn
• Ship 4: Ansur
• Ship 5: Laguz

EDIT: Servers 6 through 10 also have names. We won't be able to play on them during the pre-open beta but here are their names anyways:

• Ship 6: Cen
• Ship 7: Gifu
• Ship 8: Wynn
• Ship 9: Hagal
• Ship 10: Nauthiz

Looking through the Player's Site, it looks like they let everyone use the My Room and My Shop functions since we won't be able to buy AC during the pre-open beta. If you've got item codes for the Rocket Punch/Nacht, Anti A. Rifle/Nacht, Piko Piko Hammer/Nacht, Lord Axion/Nacht, or Gaebolg/Nacht, you can use those in the pre-open beta too. You'll have to re-input the codes come open beta though since pre-open beta stuff doesn't carry over.

Among the stuff online, there's some interesting stuff to download, including icons, a Twitter skin, and even the PSO2 font.

Is it only the patch that starts up directly after you open the program? Or is there another one for when you launch the game from the client menu?

Hrm, whenever I do this, it starts to patch, and then stops and gives me some kind of error(?) message. Either that or I already patched and it's telling me I'm good to go.

It seems the launcher has been updated to include even more options, such as a frame rate cap setting.
