I keep getting this error whenever I try to update using the "File Check" button (third from top on the launcher).
WinHTTP Error:12002
[No.103]
Anyone know how to resolve it or if it's supposed to happen?

I've had the same error until yesterday: it means you lost connection with the server.
I tried to update the game around 8am (GMT+1) and it was way faster and didn't crash.
I also suggest you to try disabling your firewall and your antivirus software, I did so.
The error is caused by something blocking your connection or it being dropped. Such as a firewall, blocked ports, antivirus, etc.
However I have been unable to solve the issue. I reformatted my computer, installed vista and 7 (tried one then the other), directly connected to the modem instead of router, turned off windows firewall, tried a proxy and changed DNS.
I am completely stumped, and can only think it might be an ISP issue at this point for me.
If any of you figure it out, please share your method to fixing it

One of my two computers with PSO2 installed just barely managed to download part of something. This one still doesn't have jack shit. :/

Most of the solutions have been posted already, unfortunately. All that's left is your ISP, update server being a bit too popular with users, and something that should be common sense, like turning off Torrent.
Does anyone know what the deal with is error 12007? I can't remember the No., sorry.
Edit: Oh, it's "server name cannot be resolved".

i needed more than 15 attempts before the update was successful
Took me several tries, getting the same error each time. I figured it was just an issue with the server being busy. I eventually got the download, though, and the game seems to work fine. Waiting on Friday morning now.
