elemental properties?

I just wanted to double check the elemental property of an enemy that is displayed in its info card, when targeting an enemy, is that the element the enemy is weak or strong too?

eg. most of caves enemies display a fire elemental property. i assume they are fire strong so i should use ice elemental weapons?

The element(s) you see in an enemy's nameplate are its vulnerability. In caves, you'll be using ice on pretty much everything except the Darkers.
