Is there a safe way to trade now? And if not is there a way to trade at all? like with the shops?

If trading still works the way it did in CB, you are only able to trade if you have the "Premium" subscription from the AC shop (which is not currently implemented.)

Each of you puts items in the shops for the same obscenely high cost, then buy from each other resulting in a net effect of the items being swapped and no meseta gained or lost. Not 100% risk-free since if the other person doesn't buy your thing then they just made huge profit, but you can trade with trusted friends that way. I personally would prefer just using the shops normally, putting up things I don't need at market value and buying what I do need at the lowest price I can find.

Of course, since My Shop won't be free in full release you're probably better off just getting premium to trade...
