1. Dunno. Maybe pso2 wants to prove you wrong. I went for 14 hours + dry but forgot how long I was actually farming. So I decided to start a log 3 days ago, listing the drops and how long I was farming to show how crap is my luck... Instead I got 3 Lavis Cannon...
It was similar with my first 14★ (Akatsuki) drop. I said I would get 1 bill meseta before my first 14★, got it when I had 975 mill... -.-
2. I guess I am cheap. My last big spend was for Excella Repca for 10mill and one before that was about 20-35mill for Dragnier Flower set.
Thou I was digging through my screenshots and the only time I had my wallet shown was on March 1st and I had 670 mill... Must be all the factors I saved up and sell for much more later on...
I also belong to the no-14* club, despite running everything with 400%+ RDR boost. The Lavis Cannon I have from Conqueror's Crests doesn't count, neither does Atra.
On topic now, I don't know if this counts as an accomplishment, but...

I got my 3rd Lavis Cannon, I'll eventually record myself throwing 2 of them away, hate this game sometimes
For the love of god, I wish people stopped with that recording yourself throwing *14" idiocy. Not using/throwing your *14 is okay, but recording it has no other purpose other than triggering people who, ya know, would actually love to get that specific *14. Not to mention it makes one look like a total douchebag who just doesn't give a fuck about people that could be even less lucky. At the end of the day it's your choice, but had to get this out of the way.
Incidentally, Lavis is one of the only *14 that benefits from having several copies, since wand E change is a bitch so you'd need some for the elements that are annoying to switch back to (Ice/Dark/Fire/Lightning to some extent), so it would still be a major mistake throwing them but oh well
