Managed to pick up a pair of these. I was tabbed out when the crystal broke, so I didn't realize I got a drop. Ran through the loot just picking stuff up and noticed a "9000" in the corner of my screen. Looking in my inventory and sure enough... I was having a bad night, but this made it better.

My question is, why does it take like 3 boosts to drop-rates and a 100% boost to make stuff actually start dropping? :|

I assembled a 50 element Imperial Pick and found out why people like partisans, then I found a very reasonably priced Vjaya and 50'd that too. The Vjaya manages to look way, way cooler than it did in PSO1 too. I hated that weapon back then, it was so goddamn ugly.

I'm not sure I can bring myself to sell either of them when I upgrade again. They both look so darn good.

edit: Oh and after literally dozens of Flash Thousand 14s (often multiples from one single code attack) I finally found FT 15 two days ago, and again one day ago. Happy times!

I keep getting Y9Ks - I don't think they're that special though anymore lol

To answer your question - mostly yes, the game has horrific drop rates to begin with; there have been many occasions where even with a 100% boost and using another 100% boost I can't even get junk 7-9* items to drop - case in point W & R...the two Y9Ks I've found come when I don't bother with anything extra.
