50 Element doesn't matter on technique weapons so don't worry about it. You are better off selling the Elysion or using it as a trade pass. Anything that's not completely worthless.

Not everyone plays Elysion the same way as you do, dear. If you haven't noticed, I have a three-post joint guide on melee/hybrid TE up in the guides section.
Probably going to go with Light element to maximize EWH procs just because it's such an important weapon to have available whenever.
