In- Game Item Log Technicalities

So I was looking at my Item Log at the visiphone in-game and noticed that I have rares that are not recorded in the Log, this is because I purchased some of them from Player Shops, which means if someone wants to fill their Item Log they have to actually FIND every single rare. I don't know if this was already known but it is pretty cool that you really need to play to fill out your item log instead of just buying all of them.
