EVP Vs. DFP stats question.

Hey everyone.
So I keep getting knocked down by the enemies in the Ult caves area. The forest is a breeze, well its enough of a "breeze" for me to get through with little difficulty, but the first Vulmer in the caves just puts the smack down on me quite literally. Since I mostly play offline getting knocked down really effects my ability to survive a large group of enemies. What stats effect the chance of being knocked down? EVP or DFP? Or is it something else like HP or lvl?

Hp (% lost), at a certain point you fall due to the high damage (any kind of damage)

You have to increase either the dfp or the hp, raising EVP will raise the chances of avoiding damage completly.

I have 700+ evp on my hunter while I o only have 540+ dfp but things like del d and indi belra knock me down and it sucks because other things like Merlin can hit me and I do not block often so definitely raise dfp and HP as previously stated.

time your 3 hit combo to keep enemies in flinch lock. if you're using swords, don't do a full combo unless you know it will kill.

i believe it's when you take >25% of your maximum hp in damage that you get knocked down, but some attacks will knock you down no matter what.

dfp will do more for you than evp in the long run, but it take 5 points of dfp to reduce damage taken by 1 point so you'd probably get better mileage out of jellen. don't worry too much about that if you can't naturally jellen, though.
