Very strange bug?

While I was playing in a mission, I completed a client order. After that my sub palette vanished, I was unable to open the menu, map or weapon palette. I didn't know entirely what to do after that besides finish up. When I left the camp ship, everything went back to normal.

I've only recently gotten back in to the game and nothing like this happened before, and I can't find anything else like this on here. Does anyone know what's going on and how I can fix it?
