How do you change difficulty? do the monsters give you more EXP????
finish the game for the first time (Normal) to open Hard
finish Hard to open Very Hard
finish Very Hard to open Ultimate
the harder the game, the more the EXP

After completing normal mode (either episode will do) when you select which episode you want with the same character, a new screen comes up giving you the option to change difficulty modes. And yes, the monsters give more exp but have more HP and ATP as well as DFP
They also forgot to point out that if you can get online, you dont have to beat the game first. If you meet certain level requirements you can change the diff when creating your teams
20- Hard
40- Very Hard
80- Ultimate
These requirements work for both Episodes 1 & 2. Also remember that what you complete online WILL NOT be saved for your offline game
