I did the 5 slots version for 850M. I think I could do the 4 slots version within 350M to 400M.
It's not easy or cheap. It comes with a very high cost in excubes because there are many steps to crack and catalysts so keep that in mind.

He asks for advice that he's not listening to, so trying to tell him something is pointless.
I did it to complement nyansan's answer, give another way to approach the affix and say it's really not billions of mesetas involved.
As for myself, I barely spend mesetas in the game besides affixes so refreshing my old armors set with something great was the least I could do.
And it didn't break my meseta account anyway.

Anyways, what are the chances of an astral weapon dropping outside of mothers quest or the mom/deus trigger ??
Sega does not release drop rate information, so nobody actually knows.
However, you can look at the item records in the quest records and see how often they drop relative to the other things that drop in that quest, especially now that you can look at five pages of drops. You can access these records through Accept Trigger Quest in the quest menu while you are holding a copy of the trigger.
