A question about element grinding as it stands now. If I have a 10* with 28 dark, what do I need to use to bring it up to 50 with minimal fuss?

The same 10* with 22+ dark will bring it to 50 in a single go
The same 10* with a different element will add 10 per one, so 2 will bring it to 48.
Any other 10* will add 1 element regardless if it matches or not, so you would need 22 without 5% boosters (which then will take 3 5%s + 7 10*s to hit 50)

More often or not, the cheapest option is to find the same 10* with the same element to grind elements.

You can purchase furniture from the player shop, FUN shop and I don't recall the name of the other shop, but it is in the vicinity of the FUN shop.

Let's say I get a 3day ticket from FUN tickets. What happens to my room when that expires? Does it get locked and I go back to using the mini room, or do I get to keep everything that I put in the room (such as furniture, layout, etc) but unable to add/remove/move everything in it?

When it expires your room reverts back to the Mini-room and you are unable to access Layout A and B but everything inside stays just as you left them.
