1. Grinding is just increasing the damage it deals at Dudu or Monica, it cost grinder, and the max you can reach is +10, most 9~12* have potenial ability that you can unlock after reaching +10 on it, so for most rare, you need to grind it to +10 4 time to reach max damage and max potentional.
Ability is different, each weapon can have max of..8? slots, ablity need to be imbued from other gear of the same type.

How can you tell if an item can have abilities added?

Weapon and armor can all have ability added, AC outfit cannot at this time in Japanese version of PSO2, I believe that Taiwan version of PSO2 can or have AC outfit that have ability in them.

And use the search function you can search in this specific topic, or in the guide section, there are question that have been answered already and can be found easily by using the search feature.

1.) How do you change quick bars and/or show multiple quick bars at once?
2.) Can you buy Grinders on the player shops? If not, where else can you get them?
3.) Say I change my mind and decide I want to play Gunner instead of Force. Should I remake my character or just switch my primary class and quest on?
4.) Also, on a FO - whats the point of a Gunslash? It doesn't add TATK so what's its point?!
