There's no "permamnent" my room. You can only rent the large premium rooms by using AC to buy the premium ticket.

The best thing you can do is trade excubes for my room passes outside of being premium

No no no, the best way to get my room passes is to scratch fun. Trade your excubes for 1000 fun tickets, and you'll have more my room passes than you'll know what to do with, plus grind risk and accessories you can sell. I've maxed out the My Room rental period (90 days) this way, and I still have a ton of passes left in storage.

Scratching 50k+ fun takes a long time though, so be prepared to spam enter for a while.

If they're after room passes only, it would be better to just trade the cubes for Room Passes instead of risking it with the RNG. Two cubes gets you 2 passes this way. Yeah, there's a chance to get more scratching, but it's very unlikely.
