Alternatively, older PSO games, but try and keep it on the topic of PSO2.
Now I've never played any Phantasy Star games prior to PSO2 (well, I played like... an hour of PSZ, but that doesn't count), so I had no clue about ANYTHING. I joined during the closed beta, and here's some of the mistakes I made:
During the Closed Beta, I:
- Did not know that Client Orders existed. As such, I also didn't know that Mags existed.
- Did not know that the Matter Board existed.
- Did not know that the shopping lobby existed. I assumed all the teleporters were all block-changers and never attempted to go into any of the ones that went to the shopping lobby.
- Did not know that Skills existed.
During the Open Beta, I:
- Immediately went and equipped my first rare, a Kuscha Nebula, not knowing that it would be bound to me.
- Didn't know about the player shops being open to all players until only about a week before the Open Beta ended.
- After getting my Mag, I assumed that each level was worth "a couple points" in each stat, and thus put a few points into everything but T-ATK, ruining my mag forever. I even have a random 2 points in R-ATK (I was a Hunter) and about 50 combined points in DEFs.
- Put 1 point into War Cry to try and keep the heat off my friends, only to realize afterwards that it was a garbage skill. Used it once. Never again.
During the Full Release, I:
- Bought a voice ticket, only to realize that I couldn't use it because as it turns out, Caseals can't use the regular-sounding voice tickets.
- Vendored many, MANY room items from FUN scratch that would later end up being worth tens, if not hundreds of thousands of meseta.
- Vendored countless matterboard items that were things like 3-slot Power III weapons.
- Did not know until playing the full release for a couple hundred hours that you could repeat COs from certain clients.
- Did not know until putting over 1,000 hours into the game that you could just hold the pickup button and it would pickup items instead of having to tap it.
So... post yours!
