Default Most effective setup for ice+talis? Or is ice still rubbish?

Moved this post from the quick questions to here, so that it's easier to see (and refer to, if others are interested).
I did several searchers through all the forums here and didn't find the answers I was looking for.

Basically, I'm considering grinding out a full ice talis-user.
Icy character theme, but also for experimentation (already have fire/lightning forces).
Yes, I know ice has a long record of being utterly terrible.

I have a few questions regarding ice talis-user:
Is Fo/Te the best combination, or would Fo/Br or Fo/Fi be more effective?
I haven't experimented with front/back when using talis, but I'd imagine the Brave/Wise stance relies on the character's position and not the talis' position?

This is how I'm planning to setup the skill trees for Fo, Te, Fi and Br (up until the levels I'll probably get to).
I intend to max Ice Mastery, Tech Charge Advance and put one point in Freeze Keep.

I'll more likely be playing alone or with a friend than in multiparties.
From what I've read, Freeze Keep and Freeze Ignition generally still aren't great.

I'm particularly interested in getting TATK High so that I can use a Heretic Saw ASAP.
Is it worth neglecting Freeze Keep in favor of maxing TATK High?
Or is 3/5 in both TATK High and Freeze Keep sufficient?

Is it highly preferred to max Freeze Keep?
How often does it shatter compared to how often the enemy becomes frozen?

T-ATK High Up doesn't add to your base stats and doesn't help you to equip weapons faster.

    It most definitely does.

It does according to the simulator and official description.
Although, the official descriptions have been wrong before~

If you are really heck bent on being one the worst forces ever damage wise

There you are. Though on the techer tree I would HIGHLY recommend a secondary element of dark instead of wind in most circumstances(it is to my knowledge however the there is currently a wind tech that is OP at level 16).

    Thanks.
I know SaZan is OP atm, and someone else around here went ice+wind as well, so I thought I'd try it out (I rarely use wind otherwise).
My other forces all have PP ignition, or whatever it's called.

I recently asked how ice was in the latest patches, and from the responses it sounded like ice is "average" now, instead of "utter rubbish".

I know the techs are still pretty meh.
Maybe if SaBarta wasn't a laggy piece of shit. Dunno wtf they were thinking with that.

To my understanding Freeze Keep isn't good enough to justify getting it. If Photon Flare was a percent based skill then we could start talking about making ice trees that are good.

Ice is good but Sazan is better, even against enemies who are only weak to ice.
