100m is a pretty good deal if you ask me - look at the prices of stuff like Susanoguren and it's about on par.
Most anything super rare is about that price, even if it's not even good.

The most meseta I've ever had at one time is 40m. That is the absolute highest I've ever gotten. The poll on this very forum says that people with 100m+ are a pretty extreme minority (and considering that the players who go to the forums are pretty much always going to be a biased selection of hardcore players, that says a LOT).
Though SEGA's insistence on catering to casual players results in some pretty stilted gameplay at times, I'm damn glad they're catering to the majority this time, and not the minority of excessive content locusts who will never be pleased, ever.
Don't forget, you still have to grind and affix them as well. I don't see why this would have to be anywhere near as expensive as you're suggesting. The game has needed a more reliable way to power up weapons for a long while now.
The thing that I'm noticing with this is that I can get some cheap decent looking weapons(Vita Sword, Lambda Hexagraph, you know, things that don't look like a bunch of bobbles glued to a stick) and upgrade them to +10 and then make them useful enough to use until I can actually find something good(never).
Well, if you have 40m, you can still make an ExLv8 weapon, right? It's not like you can get the top gear anyway, so it still balances out to about what you'd be able to pay. Plus you can always upgrade it again in a day or two when you get that extra 5m more.

Yeah, but this hopefully won't require as much AQ grinding to get and it won't require grinding a new 10* weapon to +10 to my understanding.
