No exp from quests?

Just got a question. I just started playing. Only made it to level 3 cause i thought i was doing something wrong. But i am just wondering. Why am i not getting exp from quests?
Do i need to turn them in somehow? Cause if i do. I don't know how to turn them in. If someone could help me that would be great. Thanks

You mean Client Orders? Return to the NPC who gave it to you and if the icon above their head is green, you can turn it in.
