My favorite is Legend of Zelda : Twilight Princess.

For me...........hands down the Monster Hunter games. Don't ask why, I just fell in love with the game instantly on the first generation and continued to be gripped the following generations (didn't play MH3 and MH3U because no Wii and DS) goddammit MH4U getting worldwide release next year and I haven't gotten a DS yet!!!! ;_;

I could list favorite game series for hours, but generally if you're going to take Phantasy Star out of the picture - then it'd be the Quest for Glory series, with Fallout and (to a slightly lesser extent) the Elder Scrolls being right up there as well.

I've dedicated a lot of time to all those games, so each one has a large significance for me, and it'd feel funny excluding them (I already am for a few). However if I had to pick 1, it was the Unreal 2003/2004 years that helped me bond with my best friend, and spend countless late nights modding maps, making our own models for the game, voice packs etc. So that'd be the game that holds my #1 spot for eternity.

It´s gonna be almost impossible to just say one, but i try to limit myself a bit.

Megaman serie - Mostly MM3 and MMX since i replayed so many times and the Megaman Legends parts are special to me.

Blaster Master - The original game on NES got just the right theme and music and powerups, bosses etc..replayed it tons with alot of failures since it´s pretty tough.

Metroid Prime Trilogy - I did play Super Metroid before this, but this wowed me back in the Gamecube days with its breathtaking environment, music and my favorite heroine as the main character.

Legacy of Kain serie - Never touched the first Blood Omen, but Soul Reaver started my love for this vampire duo and my goodness and i just love the goth feeling with the great soundtrack they have..special yes.

Legend of Zelda serie - Yeah, a serie i never grow bored of since they always try to do something different.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite/MH3U - A game i think i never master since i´m not that great in it, but it´s so fun when you get that hard-earned material for that cool weapon/armor you were after.

Paper Mario & PM:Thousand Year Door - Can´t tell how many times i have played, it´s simple but addicting and charming always trying to challenge myself every time i get the urge to play it.

And last but not least....

Devil May Cry serie - This introduced me to a game with faster paced combat combo system with nice music and a badass main character.
