By this logic, the assault rifle, launcher, and gunslash weapon types would all be the same as well. Since they each have a barrel, through which a projectile travels, that is attached to a body and each is held in both hands.

It was just made to point out that Maenara was being silly by overgeneralizing weapon concepts.

Gunslash is a onehanded weapon.

You use it as a blade with 1 hand, you use it as a gun with both hands (one to pull the trigger, one to steady the weapon, similar to how Assault Rifle and Launchers are held).

Are you deliberately being dense about this? You might as well say Ryu and Ken are identical. Twin Daggers and Dual Blades, design-wise, are similar, not the same.
