Any general tips regarding pet/pa usage during the various buster quest phases?
i find myself mostly spamming redran laser during defence phases/popple plode during buster phase spawnkill shenanigans and some maron when hitting the castle directly
would be nice if people shared some of their tactics for it

It really sounds like you have it just right.

Only thing i would say try is

Defense /Buster

Redran / Poople for trash mobs
Aero / Shinnku for Golems if you struggle with those

Attack

Marron is fine her also about the time you reach the castle enough stuff should have hit to get it near its max lvl explode

So really no complaints with your doing. Keep up the good work

there is something still troubling me... when it comes to candies, there are power, tech and ranged cookies. So how do I decide which one to use on a specific pet? Does it depend on a type of pet (ex. wanda being meele, redran being ranged) or does it depend on my own main stat (using fighter as a sub, I am playing with s-atttack)?

Just use whichever one goes with the stats you're actually using for your build.

i've always used this blog with good results:

you can navigate to other pet setups from that page
might be a bit dated by now, lucky for su candy setups age well due to it being the most "forgotten" class now

just use chrome to translate it, it gives great suggestions for different setups if you wanna squeeze a crepe in any of the pets
also in general you can use english to jp translator to tranlsate "maron candy box" for example and do a google image search for any candy box like that, just look out cause some people put up pics of boxes with uncompressed(non-optimized) candy so avoid those

You can't. Some candy sticks are horizontal, some are vertical. That's just how they are.
