I kind of wish I cared more about this game, though. I've had issues with this one well before this controversy of a non-release came out. For one, the roster. They already basically cut a good number of characters from the game with no vote offered to the west, in the first place. Based on eastern-only polls, they removed a number of favorites for the game. A sign, from the beginning, that they had less western intentions. Second, Xtreme 2 was a little bit of a turn off in the volleyball department as I thought it was quite a step down from the first one. Especially, in part to how (once you got the play engine down) there were greatly different techniques with which to play each character to their strengths. The 2nd one was too simplified for my tastes. But it did at least have a jet ski thing. It was no wave race, but it was there.
Still, Nothing to take away from the audience of this game, and hopefully the direction of the gameplay takes a step up here. I'm still quite miffed about the character roster. And enough to actually take away some interest in it.
