The whole Arks connection is a red herring. In reality, Aika is just a giant chunni and we're going to do a genre shift into a psychological drama about this poor teenage girl who has lost the ability to discern between the real world and her game and it turns out the whole thing was a public service advisory about the dangers of online gaming that the Japanese government mandated Sega to fund.

Well, no, not really, but I'd watch that.

But would that explain why Aika was able to physically exist inside the game and outside of the "real world"? I'm not good at theorizing, so I'm sure someone would be able to explain that.

I think my favorite thing about that was that it wasn't even subtle like the "even the girls want her" thing is in a lot of other animu. Nope, just straight to the point.

In fact I need to remember this for all eternity. It might be useful later.

Even GGXrd has kinda low frame rate on a lot of its animations.

For anyone who really wants to check out GGXrd, the models and animations are floating around on the web.
I haven't gotten around to looking at them myself. Last I checked, the 3d surface normals weren't converted properly or something.

I believe Xrd actually just uses "sprites" sort of like the old 2D versions. They're not animated like a typical 3D fighter, more like the model has snapshots of each frame that plays like sprites.
I'm a huge Guilty Gear fan so I read a lot on the development process after the game was announced, but I may be wrong on this because that was over a year ago now.
