They've never pulled off a major update on time have they? I'm expecting Cross Maint myself.
I didn't get to update earlier cuz I got home late. The patching is super slow right now. Who knows if I'll even patch by the time it goes up.
If I recall correctly, when EP3 was released, the maint ended about 2-3 hours early at 14:00-15:00 JST, buuuuuut that probably will be the only time.
