    Default MLG pet candies description

    Introduction

Candies act as an alternative to the grinding, affixing and mag raising systems all rolled into one for all the masochists out there (hence Pietro is the poster child for the class). The effects of various candies are mostly stat boosts, but some pieces of high-end confectionery mimic the effects of certain weapon abilities and mag trigger actions, or act as an extension of Summoner's skill tree.

Candies are placed inside the candy box, an 8x8 space filled with all kinds of garbage that reduces your initial available room from 64 blocks to just 32. Things get better after a while, though, and it is possible to have as many as 48 free blocks on your favorite pet(s). Each pet type has its own candy box layout, but the number of available blocks is always the same. All pets have the same limits for the types of candy that can be placed inside their boxes. Each pet has its own separate candy box, so even though they never eat the things, instead preferring to dine on their kin, one candy still only affects one pet at a time.

    Candy box layouts:
    Spoiler!

Blue blocks are Jelly Cubes. They simply vanish when your pet reaches level 50.
Orange blocks are Caramel Cubes. Each cube requres a Caramel Crusher (8 Excubes in the Excube Shop) to be removed. Getting rid of all of them on one pet costs 64 Excubes, which will be the least of your expenses.
Grey blocks are Paper Cubes, and, surprisingly, they don't require an AC item to be removed. There are 16 of them in a candy box, and they act as irremovable obstacles in a game of logic and horrible grind that is candy customization.

The limits for each candy type are as follows:

2 parfaits. One fully compressed parfait is assumed to be 2x2 in size.
2 rolls. One fully compressed roll should be 2x2 in size.
3 cookies. Fully compressed cookies are 2x2.
2 cakes. The only cakes known to ARKSkind so far are pancakes, and they are 2x2 when fully compressed.
1 ramune. Fully compressed, it only takes 1x1.
1 crepe. They are 2x2 when fully compressed.
4 candy canes. They take 4 spaces either vertically or horizontally.
5 sandwiches. They are 2x1 and provide defenses.
20 gummies. They are 1x1 in size.

All of the above adds up to 87 blocks, so some consideration should be put into what you place in the 48 blocks available to you.

Once placed inside the box, candies can be moved inside it freely, but are a little trickier to remove. Using a Candy Eraser will free the space a piece of candy takes, but will destroy the candy itself. It can be recovered with a Candy Remover, an item that requires recycling AC Scratch prizes.

    Candy Maintenance Supplies:

    キャンディーイレイサー (Candy Eraser)
Removes one candy inside the box from existence.
Costs 10 Grinders in Pet Lab.

    キャンディーリムーバー (Candy Remover)
Recovers one cany inside the box for future use.
Costs 8 AC items in Recycle Shop.

    キャラメルクラッシャー (Caramel Crusher)
    Destroys one Caramel Block.
Costs 8 Excubes in Excube Shop.

This must be some kind of glitch, I refuse to believe Sega have finally fixed this game's horrible performance problems.

Thanks a lot, guys. I'll be keeping an eye on Japanese players' reports to see if other sweets drop anywhere else.

Still need to check what title gives what, too.
