Ride On! Intro to Riding Quest + Discussion
We haven't really had many new guides lately. That's partially due to the lack of new content. But since we have new content, that means we need a guide! I think. This is my first guide, so bear with me for a second. I probably won't be as in-depth, or as humored, or as not-generic as the majority of other guides out there, but, well, that's just me, I suppose. I'm kind of a boring person.

I: Tutorial
Basics
Spoiler!Mission: Aim for a high score!
You have 10 minutes to score as many points as possible.
Use the Rideroid to travel around Vegas and follow the nodes.
Kill enemies and complete Emergency Trials to boost your Score (displayed at the top of the screen).
Collect Emblems to boost your Score Multiplier to get even more points.
Rideroid
Spoiler!The Rideroid is a nifty little contraption that allows you to traverse Las Vegas at high speed.
Locate one of numerous pads that glow orange with "Rideroid" written in ARKS font and stylized images. Interact to board a Rideroid.
Rideroids have high HP and 100 PP.
Third Person Camera Controls:
Use the WASD/Left Analog to move around. Up = Ascend, Down = Descend, Left/Right = Strafe.
Use the Mouse/Right Analog to turn and move the camera.
Free Camera Controls:
Use the WASD/Left Analog to move around. Up = Ascend, Down = Descend, Left/Right = Turn.
Use the Mouse/Right Analog to control the camera.
Abilties:
Boost: 0 PP. Begin movement with the Attack Button/Dash Button. Moves as fast as a running player on foot.
Just Timing Boost: 2PP/sec. Press the Attack Button/Dash Button during any Just Attack Circle to activate this move. Burns PP, but moves much faster.
Brake: 0 PP. Press the Attack Button/Dodge Button when a JA is not present, or during the JA Circle following a Just Timing Boost to stop movement.
Dash: 5 PP. Press the Jump Button to quickly boost a few meters in a given direction. Dash movement is identical to standard controls.
180 Turn: 5 PP. Press Shift+Attack to instantly turn around 180 degrees.
Dismount: 0 PP. Press the PA Button to disengage and jump off your Rideroid. The Rideroid will continue to travel briefly after dismounting before despawning.
Tidbits:
-- If you have issues turning the Rideroid, hit the Brakes or Dash. During the brief braking/dashing animation, you will be able to turn significantly faster; use this method to corner around certain areas.
-- Fly into green circles to restore half your HP and 60 PP.
-- You will occasionally see trails of blue rings that start and end with gray rings. Fly into any portion of the path, or the start or end to start boosting along the path, which will automatically railroad you until the path ends. Boosting or Dashing in any direction cancels this.
-- You can ram your Rideroid into enemies to harm them slightly. This does minimal damage.
-- Upon dismounting, your Rideroid becomes a projectile prior to despawning. If you're skilled, you can throw your Rideroid into enemies to harm or eliminate them.
Maps
Spoiler!There are six maps, with two variants each, for a total of 12 maps.
Each map has a Day Ride and Night Ride variant.
The map changes every day. This follows the pattern "Day A > Night A > Day B > Night B" and so forth.
Day/Night Variants
Spoiler!Believe it or not, there are actually differences between Day and Night Variants:
Day Ride:
Theme changes to Runblebee's "Neon Days".
Emblems spawn in set flight patterns during Emblem Time. This makes collecting Emblems more difficult than its Night counterpart due to Emblems not being grouped together. Emblems have high respawn rates.
Night Ride:
Theme changes to Runblebee's "Neon Nights".
Emblems spawn in set areas around the map during Emblem Time. There are a handful of locations in which Emblems can spawn, which are randomly determined by the game. The easier of the two Variants, since Emblems at Night tend to be grouped together, especially in one spot. Emblems have low respawn rates outside of main routes.
Score
Spoiler!Score is indicated by a large display at the top of the screen that tracks the total score earned this Quest.
Increase the score by slaying Phantoms and completing Emergency Trials.
While your score fills slowly, collecting Emblems will increase the multiplier to boost score accumulation.
At the end of the Quest, your Score is converted into a Rare Drop Rate bonus. Score high for a higher chance at good loot.
Emblems
Spoiler!Emblems are little rings with the ARKS logo in them that you can collect to boost your score multiplier. By collecting the Emblems, a gauge below the Score counter will fill up. When it is full, the multiplier will increase by 50%, then reset.
It's imperative that you collect as many as possible in a short amount of time to boost the multiplier as soon as possible.
The Emblems come in four flavors: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Rainbow.
Bronze Emblems fill the gauge, Silver fills it moderately, and Gold fills it greatly.
Rainbow Emblems spawn randomly on the map, or with high frequency during the last minute. A Rainbow Emblem will instantly fill the gauge by one unit. Collect these as soon as possible.
At set points during the mission, Emblem Time will occur. Emblem Time spawns Emblems around the map for one minute that can be collected to greatly increase the multiplier.
Day and Night Rides each have different methods of spawning Emblems (check the Day/Night Variants tab for more).
Your first Emblem Time will spawn Bronze Emblems. The second will spawn Silver, and the third will spawn Gold.
Emergency Trials
Spoiler!After completing some spawn areas, an Emergency Trial will occur.
Each Trial has a bonus objective, which is usually to clear it as fast as possible. The better you fulfill the bonus objective, the more bonus points you can earn.
Emergency Code: Attack
Two minibosses (Devil's Trailers, Type-15s, Knight Gears, or Devil's Trailer and Type-15) spawn with adds. Do not target adds, as they do not dispense Points. Slay as fast as possible for lots of points.
Emergency Code: Duel
A major boss (Vegas Illusia, Train Ghidoran, or Cougar NX) spawns with adds. Slay as fast as possible for lots of points. Sometimes includes a miniboss that must also be killed.
Emergency Code: Chase
A ton of massive alien jellyfish spawn in the sky. Board the Rideroid and ram into them to eliminate them. The jellyfish have a tendency to dart around; this is indicated by a glowing ring surrounding them prior before dashing. If a jellyfish darts into you while you are not moving, you will lose all of your PP. Slay as fast as possible for lots of points.
Emergency Code: Elimination
A large ring spawns around a specific area, followed by hordes of rare Tokyo Phantoms constantly spawning in at or near that ring. Each Tokyo Phantom you slay adds +25% to the score multiplier, making it the fastest way to quickly increase the score multiplier. Hold out to score lots of points.
Emergency Code: Destruction
A giant alien mothership emerges from the sky. This is indicated by the sky turning red. Board the Rideroid and ascend to it to fight back. Fly into the giant blue pillars to damage them; two hits is enough to destroy them. Once you have destroyed all but one of the giant blue pillars, the core of the mothership opens up to reveal a massive blue core. Dash into it repeatedly to deal damage until it's defeated. Be wary of the floating mines and homing projectiles, as they can deal a lot of damage to your Rideroid. If you make contact with a solid red wall, your Rideroid will take massive damage. If time expires, the mothership will fire a gigantic laser that kills the MPA and ends the quest. Slay as fast as possible for lots of points.
Rewards
Spoiler!At the end of the Quest, you'll pose, then Xierra will teleport you back to the Telepipe, where a giant boss crystal is waiting.

II: Maps and Strategy
General Tips
Spoiler!-- Enemies have less HP than on an actual map of the same difficulty. This allows you to kill them easier. This also slightly reduces the gear cap; it is not as necessary to bring top-of-the-line material to perform decently.
-- Enemies will always appear bunched in mobs. Bring a method of AOE or any form of vacuum effect such as Zondeel, Gravity Bomb, or Moment Gale Branched Action to kill several enemies at once.
-- Watch your minimap. The more players that are diverted from the current objective, the slower the party will earn points.
-- Be wary when you decide to start hunting for Emblems. There does not need to be more than three people on Emblem duty, two ideally in Night Ride. If there are already players taking off to go Emblem hunting, stay put and follow the objective.
-- It can be amusing to perform PAs that make you fall from the highest point. This is slow, however. If you need to get to ground level in a hurry, spam Down Dash in your Rideroid, then dismount at ground level.
-- During the last minute, under no circumstances should more than two players be looking for Rainbow Emblems at any point. Exceeding two players severely drags down the point accumulation rate, especially since Rainbow Emblems are spread far apart.
-- If you play a Tech class, you can cheese the Chase code by spamming infinite-range Techs on jellyfish in TPS Mode. This can also be done on the Mothership, although it's much harder due to the high health of the cores.

Night Ride
Bronze Emblem Time
-- Keep to ground or second floor levels. Bronze Emblems do not tend to spawn at rooftops.
-- Bronze Emblems oftentimes spawn in street paths. Use the 180 Turn and JT Boost to nab them quickly.
-- Check the second story rooftop behind the Eiffel Tower replica. There's a decent chance that there will be a large stash of Bronze Emblems on the rooftop. There may also be more emblems on the adjacent rooftop to the left.
-- Check the second story rooftop near the top left of the map. There may be a stash of Bronze Emblems sitting there.
Silver Emblem Time
-- Sweep ground or second floor levels. While it's rare for Silver Emblems to choose the skyscraper rooftops, it's possible.
-- If they spawn at ground floor, they will usually spawn in street paths that curve upwards to the second story in front of the large hotel at the back of the level. This area has a semi-frequent respawn rate; if you see that the Emblems follow this pattern, collect them quickly to ensure that they respawn.
-- If they spawn at second floor, they will form a ring around the small rooftops. Fly around quickly to collect the emblems to ensure they respawn.
-- If there are neither, check the rooftops. There may be a large stash of Silver Emblems atop the tall golden hotel.
-- Rarely, a formation of Silver Emblems will spawn in the fountain. From a distance, this pattern spells "ARKS" in English letters! Be sure to pick these up, as this is a great source of Silver Emblems.
Gold Emblem Time
-- As before, Gold Emblems rarely spawn on rooftops, although it's possible. They spawn at ground level and second floor more often.
-- Before you do anything else, check the second floor rooftop at the very bottom right of the stage. There's a good chance that there will be a huge stash of Gold Emblems sitting there.
-- One of the more common patterns is a zigzag pattern of Gold Emblems along the main street. Either take it slow, use your Brakes to collect them quickly, or ignore the pattern and go in a straight line, then double back to collect the rest.
-- Emblems may spawn in the fountain in fountain-like patterns. Brake underneath the pattern, then Up Dash to collect them.
-- Gold Emblems can spawn in a huge ring above the fountain with a cross in the middle.
-- The Eiffel Tower replica can hold three Gold Emblem patterns. One is an arc on the second story rooftop surrounding it that has lots of Emblems. Another is a ring of Emblems at its lower base, and another ring around its upper base.
Area B
Spoiler!Map: Coming soon!
Day Ride
-- Always, always check rollercoasters. Rollercoasters will always spawn Emblems few and far between. In Day Ride, it can be more difficult to stay aligned with the coaster due to no railed paths.
-- Bronze and Gold Emblems have spawn areas at ground level. Bronze Emblems spawn more at ground, so always sweep the ground for Emblems.
-- Ledges tend to hide emblems in sneaky places.
-- You can find Emblems laying around in random lines on rooftops.
Night Ride
-- As with Day Ride, Emblems always spawn in rollercoasters. However, unlike Day Ride, Night Ride has railed paths on coasters, so it's much more convenient to use the coasters as a method of collecting Emblems.
Bronze Emblem Time

Silver Emblem Time
-- Silver Emblems tend to spawn on rooftops. Don't stick to ground level too long.
-- You can find out-of-the-way and hidden rooftops that contain stashes of Silver Emblems.
-- Random ledges tend to hide Emblem stashes.
Gold Emblem Time
-- Gold Emblems can spawn at ground level. It doesn't hurt to sweep the floor before looking elsewhere.
-- There is a lone rooftop with a conspicuous swimming pool on it. This pool can hold a large stash of Gold Emblems.
-- Check the very tall building at the center of the map. If you go up high enough, you can spot a ring of Gold Emblems around it.
