Gettemhart gets possessed by a goddamn Dark Falz, not your average everyday Darker.

Luther allowed himself to absorb negative photons to become Dark Falz through sheer rage.

Point stands. An ARKS and Photoner can get "possessed" if they take in way too much Darker particles than what they can actually contain as evident by what happened to Matoi or Player who, rather than possessed by an existing Falz, simply became one through taking in too much.

Tell that to Gettemhart (ARKS) and Luther (Photoner).

Canonically It requires shitloads of negative emotion on host's end for that to be allowed. You can see that happening with Gettemhart, Luther and Matoi (even despite Double's darker bullet, she didnt lose sanity outright, suffering intense emotional torment first).
Gettemhart wanted to destroy Falz, but carried away and gave in to pure destruction impulse.
Strong people dont get eroded from facing stronger entity, they enable it themselves by giving in to corrupted way of thinking. Something that was implied to happen with Photoners initially.

My point is that photon based lifeforms are immune to the same erosion, that animals, dragons or mechanism experience in a very short time before going absolutely mad. Arks are displayed hacking through darker freely and only getting some sort of "pollution" eventually and only after some real tough stuff like ep3. It is supposed to be the photon immunity that you know from the beginning.

I'm more interested to why posessed humans become high powered falz and not just some darker gorilla instead. Is it because PD follows the strong negative wish they had before being possessed?
It always felt funny seeing them in neat civilized outfits with emblem, insinuating some sort of organization behind the whole thing, but sporting a "den" inside of a twisted rock.

something that i always wonder is , if the infestation darker is so abominable , why sega never represented that as a zombie infestation in the case of PSU with the SEED ( which is also mention in the 2nd or 3rd meeting with IO) .

thinking about it EP5 is a good oportunity of introduce zombies /darker mutants etc.

another thing i trought is , why sega never created an EQ in which we fight darkers clones , lots of clones

I hope not. I'm sick of zombies. It was fun in the early 2010s but its been done to death now.

Keep in mind, I have a VERY VERY ROUGH understanding of japanese. we're talking a select few words and phrases here. That said, here are some highlights from the story update that I can gather.

1) The scene with Alma and Gi is very sad. Xiera invites him over, goes to give Alma's position away, and alma runs off. We talk to her afterwards, and she mentions how happy she is to see regius, but also feels so lonely that only a few people can see her. But, she mentions this is the life she chose, and tells Xiera not to feel bad.
2) The 4 beasts of Apprentice (as one could gather) are the actual people summoned to Omega. Aika and Rina seem to remember it as a horrible nightmare, but I'm pretty sure Yucreta and Aurora are very aware it was real. (Also, summoning Soro? I'm glad Sega is realizing their silly story and running with it.)
3) Margareta is mmmmmaybe what original Apprentice (assuming it is still Aurora) most likely looked like? I mean, the older Margareta. There's a scene with Loser and Apprentice in your mind, and they basically talk shit to each other. Luther says something along the lines of "Still worried about your appearance I see. What do you think, [Player]?" and then Apprentice is all "ey m8 fuk u, also call me margareta now bai" and they both fuck off.

This chapter is a goldmine, enough said.

Apprentice is basically Adult!Magareta. Not Aurora, since Aurora is one of the Four beside Eucrita and Eucrita just cemented the SEGA's hinted idea of her as a Badass of epic proportions. Really, an ex-Dark Falz able to strategise according to force ARKS to create mining bases after mining bases, with seriously deep photon reserves that allows her to not only control but summon Darkers, brought up by [Double], the most dangerous Dark Falz to become Apprentice, and the wielder of a Genesis weapon (Xiera mentioned Aurora as a Genesis weapon) and SEGA didn't even mention her once in EP 4? Heck.

On a side note, Echo and Zeno is apparently, getting married in June. Which is why we have wedding scratches for that.
