Have to admit, chuckled a little bit then started to worry because this might be a thing. As much as I hate this game sometimes I don't want to be banned just because I'm an 'outsider'.

Of course not. It just makes me feel uneasy and anxious for whatever reason.
Unless their ToS changed, I think technically us playing is still a bannable offense. They just don't bother enforcing it since it's a waste of time and money as long as we're not destroying the game, which the chinese have a history of doing just that via the economy in online games, which is likely why SEGA likely had a tighter reign on SEA.
Not sure if they'll suddenly care at all, or probably will just limit their investigation of reported players to what's in chat log (which would be a little silly considering that wouldn't help the people that wanted this feature the most: the people tired of seeing AFKers in their EQs/BQs).
Anyway, it's a waste of time, and loss of money to go after us for being filthy gaijin, but it remains to be seen as to how will they will respond to this new 'feature'.

I'm not too worried. It's just the fact it's more convenient to report people for silly crap now. I'm leaning to the idea SEGA will look at a sudden influx of 'this guy is a gaijin!' reports with little to no other context to them and ignore those anyway.
