    Default Installing PSO2 via PS4

My PC is no longer able to keep up with PSO [and games in general], so, I thought I'd try getting it on PS4. Several issues: would it completely bar me from playing PC again? Would I need to change the region on the PS4 to download it or would it be possible to sign in to my JP PSN on USA region? (ps3/psp had the ability to do so, granted, they didn't have a region change option/necessity).

    tl;dr

How to install PSO2 on PS4, pros and cons

and if this is in the wrong section, I'll move it (or someone else is welcomed) to where it's needed

Sign in to JP PSN, Download game and Install.

Sign in to PSN, JP or US (stick with your choice), enter sega ID if you want to continue playing your character from PC side, check email tied to SEGA ID, enter code. Play.

    Cons , it's on console

Pros, you can play without a PC.

Could I go back to playing PC, at some point down the line, is my main issue.

edit: would PSO2 not be tied to the JP PSN account? (as in, needing to be logged into it to play pso)

You can switch back and forth between PS4 and PC.

PSO2 is not strictly tied to JP PSN, but once you've started playing PSO2 under your US PSN name, you will need to email Sega in order to -dis-associate it with your US PSN account.

Could you explain further on that?

Let's say I already have PSO2 installed on my PS4, and I want to play under my NA account.

I then launch the game and PSO2 will ask for my SEGA ID if I had one; I then put in my Sega ID and upon entering it, an email will be sent to the email address that I used when I made my Sega ID containing a code to confirm that it is the same person logging in under a new device.

Once I enter the code to my PS4, that Sega ID is now tied to my NA PSN account

If i try to log in using my JP PSN account (you'll have to go thru the same process as above) and I enter the same Sega ID that is already tied to my NA PSN account, I will get an error stating that it is already tied to a PSN user.

To then disassociate my Sega ID to my US PSN, I will have to email Sega support to unlink it to the current account it is tied to.
(I've never done this myself, but I read that the same procedure is needed If you play on vita).
(And it is not 100% that they will comply with your request)

That makes sense, but would that apply to pc? Say, it's linked to USA PSN, but, at some point, I'm able to play on pc again p

If you're going to play back to PC, you don't need to do anything else.

Your Sega ID being linked to JP or NA PSN is completely irrelevant; Nothing to worry if you're going to play on PC. (I do this quite often).
