    Default No audio in game.

I'm getting no audio as soon as the game starts. Can't do the Dx9 runtime thing because it's 2019. Nothing abnormal about my audio settings, neither Windows nor Tweaker.
Checked dxdiag. It says I have Dx12 which I'm pretty sure my laptop did not come with and is incapable of implementing.
I have Windows 10 and it's up to date. Audio is Reatek HD Audio.

Ive read plenty of threads from various different forums. Any other information need that may help to solve this, please ask.

PSO2 is old and does still require those old DX9 files, so installing them is typically the only way to fix this issue.
Also, DirectX12 is pre-installed on Windows 10, so that's why it says you have it.

How do I install dx9 if it says I'm up to date and then closes itself?

Woah woah woah its working now. I guess I googled the wrong thing. The download page looks pretty much the same. Well, I'll edit this post to let you know if it works though I bet you know what'll happen. Embarrassing.

    Try this one instead: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...s.aspx?id=8109
This one actually has all the files in the download rather than running it via a web check.
If it does do the same thing as the web installer, you may have to extract all the files from the .exe into a new folder first, then run the DXSETUP.exe found in the folder.

PSO2 is really finicky about audio output. If I start PSO2 and then turn on my receiver (so that it switches from pass-through to active), I lose all sound until I restart PSO2... even though the designated audio output in Windows doesn't change! Sometimes this will even cause the game to crash. It's weird how sensitive the game is to that sort of thing. None of my other games behave like that.

This helped me get the sound working on PSO2 on my new laptop. Thank you!
