not sure about them but I am just paranoid that the western release may affect SEA as well ( It is in full english ... in anycase I hope it does not affect us ). Cause time and time throughout the world new rules are made ( politically and what not ) and for some reason rules that are made for the west are supposed to stay there but it ended up affecting the whole world including SEA

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaah…………...they're gambling. This conversation has been had so many times in so many games it's not even funny. Specific items are usually held back as "jackpot" items ensuring that only a few items will drop total, so whatever player "wins" will probably sell said item to get "rich" in-game.

I would say that from what little I played of the Japanese side however, the drop rates for featured items were relatively fair so it wasn't horribly unbalanced like it is in some games. This may contribute to PSO2's

Except its not especially since they hand you a "pick what you want" pass after scratching so many times, the rates arent even against you since thats when your own mental gymnastics come into play and another reminder you DONT need to scratch to play this game or have great gear either. Justify it all you want, putting money in for pure aesthetics that doesnt effect gameplay and is your own personal choice to do so.

Even if they did force us to move to NA servers it's not like those hours were wasted. Alls you're really saying is that you're going to go into a game with less knowledge then a portion of the player base that will know what they're doing and leave you behind, gaining more in game money a lot faster, knowing what weapons to get, what items to work on, what crafts to do. I donno about other people on here but I spent far less money with using my time on pso2 then buyng a game every month to play.

Gambling has nothing to do with what type of item you get from it, nor chances of getting said item after X attempts. Neither does it matter that there are other ways of acquiring said item. That would amount to say that casino slots are not gambling, because you can acquire money by working at a job.

And quite the contrary, cosmetic items greatly affect gameplay when they're one of the reasons you spend time playing the game, and thus, when you pay, you skip the amount of time you need to grind/wait.

I'm not saying PSO2 is pay-2-win, I'm saying your argument was fallacious.

It IS gambling and it DOES change gameplay.

If I were to change certain real-money issues though, it would be adding Mags, skill trees, etc, using SG instead. Those can make your life a real pain sometimes, having to back-track a lot, and the only easy solution is to splurge money.

I can pay someone else to play in my stead and get every achievement!
I can pay someone to go to 999 Depth in solo UQ

Ok seriously, the closest p2w I can think of is that you can buy cosmetics and sell them for millions, so that you can go affix crazy on Dudu without being limited by meseta. And even there, you are limited not just by meseta but by available fodder and Ability +40% devices.

PSO2 cannot have the "p2w" argument applied to it because there is no definition of winning. There is no race for world or ship 1st on anything. There is no piece of equipment that is locked behind extremely hard content.
