kicks and lagging with only one ship sounds preeeetty bad, I wouldn't expect more ships if they can't handle the one and even if they do add more it'll be sheer unplayable

The funny thing is, just before they made the announcement, I was able to get back to the Rockbear fight without any noticeable lag.
Well since the servers just shut down I am inclined to agree with you.
I got part way through character creation when it went down.
Got as far as the scene after character creation, hope it goes back up soon
