Not all of them, also having some Organic material doesn't explain how medicinal Photons can fix gaping holes in the Hardware which make up most of their body. Honestly though I don't really mind it much but I find it funny musing about stuff like that

Ludmilla and Xierra are the only hi-casts, and neither of them regularly engage in combat. That said, I'm pretty sure mates are basically just liquid rations/energy drinks. They give you a burst of stamina, not heal wounds.

There's an episode of PSO2 ani in which Earth humans drink mates and they seemed behave just like liquids

I assume you mean the first one, my memory of it is fuzzy. I only remember the MC's friend drinking one and getting the runs. In episode oracle every instance of people using mates was during downtime, and they were treated more like rations than healing items.
