you're going to be tied to whatever ship you choose so ya, pic wisely with friends before starting. It's probably not going to be a thing but they may allow a free transfer of sorts for a limited time otherwise you have to pay

Super pumped for the Beta today! Played PSO on the GameCube and PSU on the xbox and I've been waiting for this game since it released in Japan years ago. Gonna be on ship 1 today!
