Real Life: I'm getting a GameShark

And it's all Sega's fault. If anyone read my topic from the other day, they know I had a BSoD and lost all my stuff..

Anyways, so I tried the backup save thing and played offline till both my exp points and my play time were past what they were before. I get on and try it, BUT it didn't work and saves over my save. I am pissed and get off.. then today I say, "Oh well, as long as I still have my character, I and can get all my weapons and stuff back the old fasion way". Well, I deside to get online and start my quest to regain my lost items amd meseta.. but what's this? The fucking server says my save is corrupt AGAIN and resaves over it!!! FUCK! Well, I'm thinking it prolly won't do this again, and try once more.. and guess what? Again it says my item data is corrupt.. but IT'S NOT! Alls I have is the default Cane/Mag/monofluids/monomates/meseta.. nothing more, so why does it keep doing this? I thought it did this once, and allowed you back on? BLAH FUCKING BLAH!

I tried a few other things but the fucking server wouldn't let me on w/ my NONE hacked character Woggy, so this leads to now. I'm getting a GameShark to create a new character named Woggy with the same stats as the character I can no longer play online with. Also I'll use it to get all the rare items I had lost back (though this might be risky since using the codes to do this is how Sega can detect you've used a GS on your save.. ~.~ But oh well, cause their GS detection isn't even up, and might not ever be. ).

Also I do feel that I have put enough legit time into the game (over 250 hours) that using a GameShark now won't make much differents to me in turms of making the game boring or something.

Such is the reason anti-gameshark security crap is lame to even begin with! They mess up saves to prevent maybe 5% of the complete idiots from using duped items. Nice. Too bad they doesn't do jack-squat against the BAD stuff, i.e. the EXPLOITS like resta kill.. so now we're stuck with no change to cheating and fux0red backups. And I already know the append disc isn't going to do ANYTHING in terms of stopping cheating, but it'd better damn well have a way to back up a char..

Although I've only had 1 BSOD and lost nothing from it, I felt like ranting anyway. Just as bad seeing other people get hit SO hard from something so stupid.

Im fine with that. You put time in your character, and it's not your fault that it got deleted. A couple problem thougth. Sega can read hacked data. If they see you have it, they will ban you and you won't be able to play online at all. Also, once you start using it, you might get out of hand and you will want to start duping and creating items. Not saying you will, but once you have the power, whats stopping you from using it?

Do it the old fashion way Woggy.
The traditional PSO way.

Besides, I've just started a new HUcast..
Nothing like playing it all over again.
I beat the Dragon on Level 3 > hehe

So yeah, starting again isn't as bad as it sounds.. don't resort to the evil GS

Well, this is my third character.. I don't want to start over again till I get ahold of PSO version 2 (it has a new character creation thing in it.. or new designs, I forget.)

For now, I'll take my chances with a cheat device. I still haven't desided which I'm going with, though.. GameShark, Xploder DC, or that other one from Pelicon.. more then likely I'll end up with a GameShark since I've never really heard of the other ones.

Oh, and trust me.. I won't let it go to my head. I just want my character back!

Woggy . . . don't get a cheating device . . . it gets too tempting =). Just tell me what items you had and ill give em to you. To all the beautiful people saying that jerks like me "ruin" the game, I say "bah! I'm a Yellowboze how can you blame me?". Anyway I don't play the game to be the most omnipotent person there is . . . I play cuz its fun to interact with people in a different world.

You don't have to start all over.Just keep on going on-line and initializing all your items until you can go back in the server.That initialize item thing changes the code on your save until it matches the one on the server I think.
Well it worked for me,but it took me about 7 initializes for it to work.

Hey all GS users...eat a soggy piece of shi@t! There are no excuses for Gs use...offlinie fine, playing by yourself...OK!

I m sick of seeing all the rares that i would love to find on my own and see what they look like b4 some lvl 20 pulls out all the stops with every weapon immaginable.

U guys must all have ADD cause youre simply impatient individuals...like spoiled children who cant wait to open their presents with the rest of the family on X-mas day!
