Hi. I was just wondering if anyone else was in a marching band. I just got home from band camp and I am beat. I play marimba for my schools marching band and it is a full workout just trying to play my part. Although I am one of the youngest, I am section leader of the pit percussion section and everyone expects me to be able to do stuff and I can't. For any other percussionists out there you probably know that it is pretty hard to consecutively play even 32nd note sixtuplets regardless of tempo... I have them for a whole fricking song! I am currently icing my hands on and off while typing with the other haha.

Feel free to share band camp stories that you might have haha. (and yes, I did see American Pie.)

I play handdrums and sing. I can also play a mean Ocarina, providing I could control it with an N64 controller.

I'm in Marching Band, too (I made a topic about it)! I play the Mellophone. I just had band camp a few weeks ago. I don't really have any interesting stories to share, but I do have one thing to say: It was hot out. VERY hot. What Marching Band do you play in, CGoodness? I play in "The Spirit of McIntosh" (McIntosh High School).

Anyways, I also am in a band. Its not marching, but we perform really cheesy songs, like Stars and Stripes and so on. This is Korea, so violins and all those wussy stuff get more applause then trumpets... how crappy of a bias is that? I myself play a trombone, on my 4th year. I suck, but hey, its worth it.

Well, with a Mellophone and you others, there could be a PSOW Marching Band. Intimidacius can play a mean kazoo. He can also press the button on the Casio keyboard that plays the demo-songs. Together, the PSOWMB would be unstoppable! HA HA HA!

I dabble in a bit of bass and guitar. If any of you chaps live in NC and listen to some good ol' fast three-chord rock I'd be willing to start something up. If it weren't for marching bands it'd be impossible for kids to form ska bands out of high school. Therefore, most high school band classes rock anus...even though I'd never want to be a part of one.
