Ok the problem is ... theres all kinds of porn videos in my "my pictures" folder ... and i just checked my history and its on that too but only on a few days. So my question is(seeing how i am not a computer person), can this happen randomly ... like my b/f clames it does ... or is he just being a noob about the whole thing. Now this isnt something that im gona dump him over im just pissed that hes downloading this stuff onto MY computer. if he wants to download porn hes gona have to learn to live with his 56k modem ... if its even him.

Sorry, but porn just doesn't download itself to your "My Pictures" folder, and get into your history all by itself.(No matter how convenient it would be)

Any brothers or sisters? Family or friends that use the comp?

LoL - what an A-hole. Not only is he downloading pornography on your computer, but he's lying about it, and degrading your intelligence by thinking you don't know any better and he can get away with it. You've caught him red handed. Look at the time stamps on the porn pictures he's downloaded. There will be a "Created" time when the file was first made and a "Last Modified" time, which is when it was downloaded to your computer. Those times should match right up to the times he's been on your PC.

Why the **** couldn't he have just been honest with you? What an idiot.. now he's not only gotta deal with his original offence, but he's gonna catch hell for his lies. Ugh.. he should have just told the truth.. and should have known well enough to cover his tracks before going off and doing something stupid he's going to get busted for.

(BTW: If you want to make a cache of Male Porn that HE doesn't know about.. just download away and make sure all the files you save off are in a inconspicuous folder. (I like hiding things in the Windows folder and name it something odd like "NCDriver" or whatnot.) Select all of your downloaded pictures and right click on one of them. Go to "Properties" and click the "Hidden" checkbox. Now go to My Computer and open it. Select "View" from the top menu. At the very bottom, click "Folder Options". Then click on the "View" tab. You see an option for "Do not show Hidden Files". Highlight that. Now, whenever you're done surfing & collecting.. remember to hide your new files. Then just make sure to go to your Internet Option under your TOOLS menu. Click "Delete Files", "Clear History", and then click on the "Content" Tab. Select "AutoComplete" and make sure the "WebAddresses" option is unchecked. Now go to your Windows directory and open up the folder named "Temporary Internet Files". Delete all the cookies in there from the sites you don't want him to know about.

You will have to switch between "View all Files" and "Do not show hidden files" everytime you want to view your hidden stuff.. but it's a quick and easy to do.

Presto.. you've just left no trace of your activity. At least.. none that most people will be able to pick up on. Say 2 months down the road.. leave it all sitting out on the desktop for him to see and let him know what you've done. Rub it in, because you busted him so easily while pulling the wool over his eyes this entire time. Rub it in. n_n Ten meseta says he won't try to BS you about computers again.

Not a pro.. but I know enough to not get caught. I've been doing it a work for the past year now and haven't even come close to being busted yet. They set up WEBlocker to keep us from accessing anything anything but their own homepage and I think it took a total of about 2 minuites to bust the password and figure out how to temporarily disable it's functions so I could surf again.

The only trace it leaves is on the server log.. but noone every checks that because, as far as they know, we can't get on the internet.

But like I said.. she'll still leave some traces behind.. but nothing he'd be able to pick up on. He obviously dosen't know what he's doing or else she'd never have caught him.

(BTW: Search results from Yahoo? Those to should be removeable by the process I listed above. If you're talking about the Autocomplete where it just enters past searchs automatically into the engine after typing a few letters.. then just turn off the Autocompletes in the "Content Folder" like I mentioned above.)
