    I. Dreamcast Troubleshooting

    Discs not loading

? Is the game disc firmly seated with the label side up and the disc door
    closed?
? Is the lens free of dirt? Try cleaning the lens with a store-bought lens
cleaner for plastic lenses (no liquids)
? Are fingerprints, dirt or scratches on the game disc? Try cleaning the
underside with a soft, dry cloth
? Make sure you are using Dreamcast software discs that bare the NTSCU mark
    with your US Dreamcast
? Your “Auto Start” may be off, which would case the main menu
to be displayed. Select the “Play” icon from the main menu, and
press the “A” button to start the game
? Do other discs work? If your other games work fine, please return the
game to the retailer for an exchange

    Audio/Video Cables

Make sure that the AV Cables on the Dreamcast and Video and Auxiliary
“In” set of RCA Jacks on your TV or VCR are securely connected.
Please confirm that you are selecting the correct options on your TV or
VCR's Remote Control. Some options are: TV/Video, Input and Auxiliary. Make
sure that the AV Cables are not tangled or crimped. A damaged set of AV
Cables may be causing the problem.

    RF Units (Radio Frequency)

Make sure that the AV “In” cable from the Dreamcast to the RF
unit and TV “Out” cable from the RF unit to the TV are securely
connected. Please also check that the antenna is securely connected to the
ANT “In” terminal of the RF Unit. When the RF Unit and TV are
ON and set to the same channel, you’re ready to play!

    Cable Boxes and Satellite Systems

systems please contact your providers’ Technical Support Specialists.

    II. Warranty and Returns

Please retain the original or a photocopy of your dated sales receipt to
establish the date of purchaser for in-warranty replacement. For
replacement, return the disc, with its original packaging and receipt, to
the retailer from which the software was originally purchased.

Sega of America, Inc. warrants to the original consumer that the Sega
Dreamcast GD-ROM shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for
a period of 90-days from the date of purchase. If a defect covered by this
limited warranty occurs during this 90-day warranty period, the defective
GD-ROM or component will be replaced free of charge. This limited warranty
does not apply if the defects have been caused by negligence, accident,
unreasonable use, modification, tampering or any other causes not related to

EmailContent: I ordered the Broadband Adaptor for the Dreamcast last
tuesday, and realize it is backordered, but I can't find anywhere stating
    how long it is backordered.

So I was hoping to see if someone could tell me when you will recieve your
next shipment, or the shipment in which the one I ordered will be shipped
    from.

And a second although more minor question is, does Phantasy star Online 2
have its own website yet, and will there be a beta for it? I am very
    interested in both =)

    Any response will be appreciated.

Sega needs to realize that if they make online games they need a MUCH larger cust service dept. It will be their undoing if they dont get on that right away. Losing items and chars is unacceptable to me and an outrage that they implimented these bugs knowing about them.

If they dont get their act together they will follow the dreaded path of Verant Interactive. Which always ends in such a tragic tale.

Ugh...in this case, Sega is no less guilty than everyone else in the online industry. Support for thousands of people almost always bites, especially this genre....

That's why people pay 10 bucks a month for Everquest. Verant Software makes their money off game sales, but the 10 monthly fee goes to pay their tech support (which, from what I understand is somewhat decent).

My point is, don't expect A+ service for free.

Do you really think that most businesses deal with such information through e-mail? You are whining about something trivial. Call the number
