    Sega announced that it gained more than 35,000 new Phantasy Star Online registrants in March, bringing the worldwide total of online registrations to over 235,000. At any given time, up to 26,000 people are playing the game simultaneously on secure servers around the world.

    I bet you that number would have been trippled if sega EVER made a PSO commercial...

    Even without commercials, PSO was still pretty well advertised.

    I never saw a sinbgle advertisement outside of a banner ad or two at ign. it was advertised horribly.

    Kinda stupid of SEGA to stop producing Dreamcasts before releasing PSO...
    They could have gotten more sales and been back in business (maybe)
