    I'll quote Ketchup345:

    Stuff to include:

    Location

    System (Gamecube, XBox, Computer)

    Dial-up or Broadband

    Internet Service

What type of Broadband (Cable or DSL)

If Broadband, what type of modem (if it has a USB or ethernet connection)

How you are setting it up (such as Broadband router, or linked through computer)

If using a router, what type (company and wired/wireless)

    Description of error(s)

What type of cables being used

The error occurs immediatly before the ship selection screen, which because this is my first time setting up the darn thing, is something I have never seen. >

    DSL

It's straight through a broadband modem to the system

If using a router, what type (company and wired/wireless)
The Modem is Westell Wirespeed Modem.

    Description of error(s)
Essential, I lode it up, get the stupid Notice window, and then press any button, and I get the back ground for about 5 minutes till it pops up with the message "no 100...etc." it's in my title topic.

What type of cables being used
    Ethernet, don't know the brand

So you are connecting straight from the Modem to the GC? Also, does your ISP require you to login to use their DSL service (ie. username and password?) Also what type of DSL is it, PPPOE or PPPOA?

    Yes.

No, it doesn't use passwords or usernames. It just is there and let's you go at it. They might be saved somewhere, but I doubt it.

I'm guessing PPPOA, because It's not PPPoE like on the setup page. Truthfully, I don't know how to tell this one, I'm just guessing.

I've successfully visited the site and even bought my hunters liscence on it, but it's only when I try to go into the game that I have trouble.

    Hope this helps...

Seems to me a number of people have problems with BellSouth DSL. I think it may be the Modem. Is it a Modem/Router? if so I believe the Westell modems can be set to use PPPOE. I'm not that familiar with BellSouth's service however so I'll send you to a place that can definitely help you with all that. Remember to be very specific when describing your setup and what you are trying to do.

I don't, however, you'll find that some of the members there are amazing in their knowledge and should easily be able to help you get it set up and running. They know the service and they know the modems inside and out so it shouldn't take long to get it figured out.

I'm paying them for nothing, they can't help me, and there is NOTHING I can do about it. I want to friggin get online!!!

    *sigh*

your last resort then is to use ICS (internet connection sharing) That will get you online when all else fails.
