Thread: Math?

I have one lump of blue clay, and another of yellow clay. Math dictates that "1 + 1 = 2"

But when I added the blue clay with the yellow clay all I got was one lump of green clay

    Oh oh, or this:

Buy two "x" items for 2 dollars. Note: each "x" item is worth .99 cents, so in effect it should be 1.98 for 2 "x" items

Taken from an actual sale at a local 7-11 store.

1 mole of blue clay + 1 mole of yellow clay = 2 moles of green clay.

You must remember to add in all factors.

I tend to find that 8 pints of lager, 4 shots of vodka, an excessive amount of dancing and a few broken glasses due to clumbsiness = 2 Burly Bouncer's removing you from the premises.

I can't for the life of me figure out how that works.

I do trust that you have some rudimentary knowledge of chemistry, and therefore know how much a mole is.

My neighbors have one rooting about in their garden. Maybe if they know how much people pay for them they won't harm it.
