Poem: What do you Want from me?

Non-pso related of course, but I thought I'd share it with you folks anyways

I don't brag an amazing skill with poetry, so hopefully you'll find my work to be acceptable. Its really a simple piece, you should be able to follow along easily.

What do you Want from me?


Take beauty
Take more
Take all that you want from me
Take more
Take all that you can from me
We'll settle the score

Broken hearts bleed
Upon our shattered ground
While we take all that we need
From one another without a sound.
Tears stain a permanent trace
Stories, lies, my love is true
Fears battered and scarred upon your face
Scream at me, scream at you
Life echoes at an unbeatable pace.

I loved, I cared, I gave
I tried
You loved, you hated, you took
You cried
We loved, we struggled, we broke
We lied
This was never right, I was never wrong
You hid yourself out of sight, I couldn't be strong
For your pride
I couldn't be strong for you, I couldn't be wrong for you
And now your lifes not long for you
Never forget, never forgive
What they did
Never show thanks, never remember that we live
What I did
It means nothing, I mean nothing
Little do you care, so much that you wanted
From the one that dare..

From the one that dare to love you

What do you want?
What could you possibly want?
Am I too blind to see
What you do want from me?

I loved, I cared, I gave
I tried
You loved, you hated, you took
You cried
We loved, we struggled, we broke
We lied
Your love, your soul, your life

You died

Don't ask me where I got the urge to write this. I knew I needed something along the lines of what you see before you, but I wasn't quite sure how things would turn out. This also can be viewed as a song, I have a few ideas of how it could be sung and a guitar solo to use, but since my skills in the singing department leave much to yearn for..

Poems usually come from out of nowhere. A feeling or an emotion (or yesterday's undigested meatloaf) sparks something inside you. You write with your heart instead of your head, in most cases.

It may make sense or it may be mindless drivel. Depends on who's reading and how deep they dig. Personally, it strikes a vein and I feel I can relate; albeit, in a different way.
