Calamity

I guess I'll have this fascination for now
It's always stars and mars to calm me down
A grounded, poalrized end for me
Consistently fighting gravity

We'll put our helmets on
When we go out in the sun
because Sun Light
Stops time
And if we're holding hands
And if your heart can stand it
We'll turn to molecules
To two tiny fools
Who did not know
What they'd got into...

you and me, we go together
like candy and meat, like mice and traps
but we go togther.
you're everything coated and sweet,
i'm all about substance,
i'm all about protein.

I comfort myself,
and soften to melt
in the morning sun.

I don't mind at all,
you have to be on top to fall

In my dreams it's real,
the drumming fades and i hear
nothing at all.

I could die right now,
and never care how
things turned out.

Everyday I hum,
I hum the Humm to be the one, that hums the Humm...

Another morning long ago,
and I still don't know
if it was you.

I'm chasing after the day,
when my mind starts to fray
and I can finally get away.

In my dreams you're real,
the drumming fades and i hear
your voice getting near.

You brought me out like this,
did I imagine your kiss?
Did I imagine your kiss?

I'm tired from all this humming,
I'm sick of this song.
I'm sick of going on.

In my dreams it's true,
you say, "I'll see you soon!"
But I know when I wake up
you'll be humming a different toon.

dares melt memories,
where flecks carved of
fondest embracing,
rose-purple weeps
must rummage
where reality crumbled.

the instant stretched out
for no end--
